Overview

Context

I've never worked in airline revenue management, but I know that sinking feeling when you open a dashboard and have absolutely no clue where to begin.

That's what was happening to junior analysts using PROS Revenue Management—the software that helps airlines set fares and maximize revenue through dynamic pricing. It should help analysts make smart pricing decisions quickly. Instead, they were paralyzed the second they logged in.

Teams kept telling us their new hires were stuck:

"I don't know where to start or what to focus on."

"The charts don't make sense—I can't tell what I'm supposed to do."

When analysts can't move forward confidently, airlines lose revenue every day. How might we build an experience that guides people instead of freezing them?

Result

We redesigned RM to actually guide people through their work.

Junior analysts could now see their assigned markets with clear priority indicators instead of landing on random views, get AI assistance that explains insights in plain language rather than cryptic charts, and receive concrete next steps instead of raw data they couldn't interpret.

The new experience launches later this year across multiple airlines. Hopefully new hires will feel supported instead of lost from day one.
